These include everything from current issues in society, politics, health/beauty tips—anything that may be relevant at that time. 2) YouTube
If you’re into video, YouTube is a great way to generate an income stream. While starting your own channel is no easy feat, if you pick up a few thousand followers (or more), sponsors will likely come calling with deals. You can earn money from your videos directly or through advertising, so upload original content and build up that following. Just know that there are some things you can’t sell on YouTube—so keep it tasteful and stay away from sexually explicit material.
Or anything else that could get you in trouble! Like what? Well… guns. Sex toys of any kind, even fake ones. Drugs, legal or not. Alcohol, porn, and hate speech are also forbidden by YouTube’s rules. But other than that… go wild! Do NOT forget to link to your favorite marketplace for viewers interested in purchasing products: Clickbank or JVZoo.
For example: If you want to buy [name of product], I recommend Clickbank/JVZoo because they have great prices/support/etc. Linking out like that is just good business practice because those places have affiliate programs that pay commissions based on sales generated from links placed on blogs like yours.

The only prerequisite for making money on Instagram is having a lot of followers—naturally. If you have a significant amount, then brands may be willing to partner with you or pay you in order to advertise on your account. Having many followers on Instagram gives you more leverage when it comes time to negotiate.
While it’s likely not going to make you rich, you could easily rake in several hundred dollars per post depending on your following and how well your photos perform. Plus, since Instagram is tied to Facebook, you can quickly build up a following by sharing posts between accounts (if that’s allowed).
4) Affiliate Marketing
Sign up for an affiliate marketing network like Commission Junction. It will help you get started learning how to make money online. You can find businesses that sell products and services you are interested in. Their affiliate program will allow you to link to their website, banner ads, or online stores and earn commissions on sales made through your site.

No matter what you choose, remember that paid emails can be completed whenever it works best for you—meaning they can even become a great way to fill those downtime moments of waiting around in line at the store or sitting in traffic!
6) Freelance Writing Gigs
According to FlexJobs, a membership-based site that lists telecommuting and other flexible job openings, there are more than 1,000 virtual assistant positions available. These opportunities often require you to be able to type at least 40 words per minute and use multiple software programs simultaneously. You may also be asked to proofread or copyedit your work as you go along—not exactly make money from home stuff.
Still, they’re legitimate jobs that pay $15–$25 hourly or more if you’re lucky enough not just being paid flat fees for small tasks. Some require specific skills (SQL databases) while others simply require you have an Internet connection and a phone line.
7) Virtual Assistant Work
Becoming a virtual assistant is a good way to make money from home. You can find local, regional and international gigs by going online and putting in some work—researching clients, making calls, setting up interviews, etc.
If you’re self-motivated and capable of providing stellar customer service (which includes being courteous and prompt), there are plenty of great opportunities out there for you. You could start your own virtual assistant business or answer advertisements looking for someone with your particular skill set.
8) Selling on eBay/Amazon
Online auctions are a great way to make some extra cash. Selling on eBay and Amazon will teach you basic principles of selling, allow you to price your work competitively, and provide access to tens of thousands of customers. There are also niche marketplaces, like ThemeForest for WordPress themes and GraphicRiver for graphics and designs.
If you’re looking to sell more unique products than what’s available on these platforms, Etsy is an excellent alternative that focuses specifically on handmade or vintage items. The marketplace attracts a lot of creative types who want to get their goods out there. If you can find something special and put in enough time, there’s money to be made here. Just remember: Don’t expect instant success—it takes time to build up reputation and reviews.
9) Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon )
Sell products on Amazon and make a profit, even if you aren’t all that tech-savvy. You can either sell your own products (say, homemade jewelry or clothes), or use existing Amazon product listings and change their prices by adding your own markup. By sourcing an item from a Chinese wholesale website like Alibaba and then selling it on Amazon for a markup, you can make more than $1 million annually.

When setting up a booth at craft fairs and festivals, have something in mind other than just hoping people will come to buy your stuff. Don’t be afraid to offer free samples of things, too—people are much more likely to buy something when they’ve had a chance to try it first!

If you have a knack for crafts, or if you just like to turn your hobbies into profitable side hustles, then Etsy could be your perfect side business idea. While most of Etsy’s revenue comes from its sellers’ sales, they take a commission on every sale.
For example, if you sell an item for $100, Etsy takes $3.50 in fees and another $0.35 in shipping fees — so you’re getting about $87.50 for that item once it sells (minus any materials costs). Some people are able to make upwards of 20% profit per sale with Etsy. Others report more modest gains, but since it’s passive income, there is theoretically no limit to how much money you can earn.
As long as you enjoy what you do and keep at it, there is nothing stopping you from earning thousands — even millions — with Etsy over time.
